KTVU Leslie Griffith Died From Lyme

Leslie Griffith, a TV journalist with an Emmy Award who was best 

known for hosting the Ten O'clock News on KTVU Channel 2, passed 

away on August 10 in Lake Chapala, Mexico, at the age of 66. Griffith passed away 

"from the consequences of Lyme Disease since she was infected by a 

tick while residing in Oregon in 2015," according to a family relative.

Griffith began her career in media as a newspaper reporter for the AP and 

Denver Post she started working for KTVU in 1986 as a weekend anchor and 

reporter, bringing her alto voice and unwavering journalistic style. On social 

media, many paid tribute to Griffith and shared their sorrow at her demise.
